ABOUT US

Sekgorong Environmental Division (PTY) LTD is a competitive company wholly owned by Mr Rifilwe Modiba. Madaleni Environmental is based in Cassandra, Kimberley, Northern Cape. Rifilwe has more than ten years working as a researcher, specialist and now the managing director of Madaleni environmental Division. The company has six employees (three males and three females) who are suitably qualified in their field of studies and it currently hosts two interns paid by the department of Labour. Rifilwe has a Bsc degree in Biodiversity and Conservation, A honours degree in Zoology and a Masters degree in Aquatic entomology and he is currently doing a PhD in chemical ecology.

Leticia is appointed as the projects manager and she holds a Bsc degree in Sciences, Bsc Honours degree in Zoology and a masters degree in Zoology. Leticia has more than 5 years project management experience. The company hydrologist and assistant auditor is Ms Sedzani Mahuluhu. Sedzani is holding a Bachelor of Hydrology and Bachelor of Hydrology honours. She further hold a certificate in GIS. Her work includes doing hydrological studies and water resource. Before she joined Sekgorong Environmental Division (PTY) LTD she worked at South African Environmental Observation Network.

She is well experienced in her field. Sedzani has more than five years’ experience in her field Our botanists are Ms Witney Tshitsumba and Mr Mpho Madilonga. Witney is holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Biodiversity and Conservation, a honours degree in Botany and a Masters in Botany. Witney is responsible for plant identification. Our Plant ecologist is Mpho. He is holding a Bsc in Botany and Zoology, Bsc Honours in Plant Ecology and a Masters in Plant systematics. Mpho is our environmental control officer and together with Pfarelo he helps with plant identification at the field during studies.

Mpho and Pfarelo has more than five years experience in their field Our GIS technician is Humbulani Thavhanyedza. Humbulani is holding a Bsc Environmental Sciences, Bsc Honours Environementl Sciences, and Masters in Environmental Sciences. Humbulani is heading the GIS unit at Madaleni and he distribute GIS related work to Prarelo when there is a lot in his plate since they are both knowledgeable with GIS. Humbulani has more than five years’ experience in his field.
